Ney & Blues – Shoghi’s Song of Peace
A single track mixing Iranian Neyanban with blues. A sad but hopeful song from my city, singing for peace beyond conflict.2025-10-31
Hello, my name is Shoghi. I am from south of Iran, now I live in UAE. My love is music, always between two worlds. I grew up with southern folklore, with Daf, Neyanban, and old songs. Later I fall in love with Metal, with Blues, with Rock. Always my dream is to mix them, to make something new, something true.
In past I sing Nirvana in choir format, I put Hafez poems on blues chords, I play Daf instead of drums. I always search for new colors. This project now is special for me. I want to make one track, a mix of Iranian southern bagpipe Neyanban with Blues. The Neyanban has a voice that is sad but also strong, like crying but also smiling. Blues has same spirit, deep pain but also hope.
The song is about my city, tired of unending political conflict, tired of shouting, tired of silence. I want to sing for peace, even if my voice is small.
Some words from the song, I write them here:
“My city sleeps with closed eyes, But the streets still remember the cries. Neyanban sings, a voice of sand, I dream of peace, I hold your hand.”
I need your help to make this song real. To record and to master it, to give it the quality it deserve. I don’t ask for much, but recording in studio and professional mastering need money. With your support, this song can travel beyond borders, and maybe carry a little message of peace.
Sepâs, thank you, merci, for standing with me in this music journey.
